When you embark on a journey, it's nice to know who you're travelling with.

Hello, it's nice to meet you.

My name is Trish. I’m an Australian who  has lived in the South East of England for 22 years.

I have worked as a Counsellor since 2016. Prior to this I was worked in marketing, but found I was more passionate about helping colleagues find their strengths than my core work. This inspired me to study counselling, and has lead me to where I am today.

I offer a safe and confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore whatever is on your mind. I will walk beside you on your journey to become the version of you that you want to be.

Contact me to find out more about how we could work together.

My Qualifications and Experience

I hold an Honours Degree in Person Centred Counselling from Middlesex University, London; a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute, London; and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from Macquarie University, Sydney.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (registration 386514) and adhere to their Ethical Framework. This includes keeping my skills fresh through a programme of continuing professional development and courses.

In addition to my private practice, I volunteer with a local community low-cost counseling service. I have also worked for a London based charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse, a London low-cost counselling service supporting clients a range of issues, including depression, anxiety and the search for a better understanding of themselves.

My Philosophy

To choose the right Counsellor for you, it can be helpful to understand their philosophy and approach to Counselling. This is mine.

I have a positive view of human nature. I believe we are all doing the best we can, in the circumstances we face. I believe we all have within us what we need to live our best lives, but sometimes we get stuck and need support to find our way forward.  This is where Counselling can help.

The most important part of Counselling is the therapeutic relationship we will form.  I offer a non-judgemental space for you to explore and understand what your experiences mean to you. You can talk about anything you want, without fear.

I believe that as you feel accepted and understood you will be able to get in touch with your feelings, even the most uncomfortable ones. Through this, you will find your own inner resources to enable you to deal more effectively with whatever is troubling you.

If you'd like to understand more about how I work, please contact me.
